Sliced in Bambu Studio for our Bambu Lab P2S at 0.2 mm layers and 20% infill. These are simple models of common jobs, not customer files. Your quote comes from slicing your own file the same way.
How the price is worked out
A typical print is priced like this, rounded up to the next 50 cent, with a minimum order of €15:
- €11.65 per order
- An Post delivery anywhere in Ireland or Northern Ireland (€7), packaging, and checking and slicing your file.
- €4 per hour of printing
- The printer time your part needs, which depends on its size, strength and material.
- €0.05 per gram of filament
- The plastic in the part, plus the purge, supports and occasional failed print that come with it.
These are guide prices. Every job gets its own quote, and that quote is the price that counts. Parts that need supports, tight tolerances, several colours or design work can cost more, and we may turn down a job that isn't a good fit, such as a design whose licence doesn't allow prints of it to be sold.
Once you accept a quote, it doesn't change. If the part turns out to take longer on the printer than we estimated, that is our problem, not yours.
What makes a part cheaper or dearer
- Print time matters more than anything else. A bigger part, or a stronger one with thicker walls and more infill, takes longer on the printer.
- PETG costs a little more than PLA because it prints slower. It is worth it for parts that sit outdoors, in a car or near heat. For everything else PLA is fine.
- Extra copies are cheap. Handling and delivery are charged once per order, so 10 wall brackets in PLA come to about €51 in total, around €5.10 each.
- Big or heavy jobs are quoted by hand. Anything over about 400 g, or longer than 25 cm, needs a bigger parcel or printing in sections, so we price it individually.
No 3D file? We can draw it
Most broken clips, knobs and brackets don't come with a file. Send us a photo next to a ruler and a few measurements and we model the part for you. For a simple clip, spacer or bracket that usually adds €10 to €20 of design time, and we tell you the full price before we start.
Upload the photo in the quote form, or email it to info@rush3d.ie. Our replacement parts page explains what to photograph and measure.
Delivery outside Ireland
The prices above include delivery to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Elsewhere in the EU we add the difference in An Post postage, shown in the quote. We do not post to Great Britain yet. See delivery & returns for the details.
