How it holds
An open ring, so the ball stays in view
Rests, not clamped
The ring is 56 mm across — smaller than the ball — so the sliotar sits on its lower half and most of it stays on show. Nothing grips it and nothing has to be forced in.
Out from the top
Lift it straight up and it is out; drop it back and it settles by gravity. The ring sits 49 mm off the wall, so the ball never touches the paint.
Clean fixing after installation
A pair of 6 mm ribs run from the ring back to the shield. The lower screw goes in between them; the upper one goes in with the mount empty. Two matching press-fit caps then hide the screw heads.

Questions about the sliotar mount
How does the ball sit in it?
On an open ring, 56 mm across, so the ball rests on its lower half and most of it stays in view. It lifts straight out from the top. There is no push-fit and nothing clamps the ball.
Does it fit a size 5 sliotar?
Yes. The first printed prototype was tested with a real size 5 sliotar and works as intended. The ring supports the lower half of the ball without clamping it, and the ball lifts straight out from the top.
Does it match the hurley wall mount?
Yes, that is the point of it. Same shield, same raised name and number, same two colours, so the stick and the match ball hang together on the one wall.
How is it fixed to the wall?
Two countersunk screws through the shield, 70 mm apart, with wall plugs for masonry; both are in the box. The lower one is reachable between the side ribs and the upper one goes in with the ball removed. Two colour-matched press-fit caps then cover the screw heads for a clean finish.
Can it hold a helmet or a bag as well?
No. It is sized and built for one sliotar. Anything heavier has not been designed for or tested.
Can you add the club or county crest?
No. Crests and logos are trademarked, so we print your colours, a name and an optional player number.
How is it delivered?
By An Post, as a small packet. Delivery to Ireland and Northern Ireland is included in the price. We also post to every EU country, with the postage shown before you pay. We do not post to Great Britain yet.
